2018 has been an exciting year for The Wabash Lights! We’ve grown our board, hired staff, and partnered with DePaul University to build out STEM + Arts curriculum for students across Chicago to engage with the lights!
To celebrate our growth and momentum, we are thrilled to host our first ever fundraising event. Please join us for LIGHTBASH on September 20th from 6-9pm at Ignite Glass Studio! The event will feature live DJs, dancing, interactive light activations, glass-blowing demonstrations, heavy hors d’oeuvres, open cocktail bar featuring Moët Hennessy and Revolution Brewing, raffle prizes, silent auction, and spectacular surprises!
We hope you will join us on an unforgettable night where Chicago’s creative, tech, philanthropic, and civic worlds come together to celebrate the vibrant community that has grown up around this public arts movement!

Since we started this project, we've talked about wanting to make The Wabash Lights an interactive light sculpture. With the financial support of Comcast and the tech-know-how of Chicago based company, Table Xi, we've finally been able to start developing that interactivity.
Below is a brief video that shows off two of the features we have in prototype; texting the lights to change the color and gamification of the lights.
In the coming months we are going to have some lights setup around Chicago so you can come and play with them!
